Scheme Overview

PM-KISAN is a central sector scheme to provide income support to all landholding farmers' families in the country to supplement their financial needs in procuring various inputs related to agriculture and allied activities as well as domestic needs.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Target Group: Small and Marginal Farmers
  • Landholding: All landholding farmer families are eligible (subject to exclusions).
  • Exclusions: Institutional landholders, former/present holders of constitutional posts, former/present ministers, etc.

Benefits Provided

Under the scheme, a financial benefit of ₹6,000/- per year is provided to eligible beneficiary farmer families, payable in three equal 4-monthly installments of ₹2,000/- each.
