False Advertising
Claims that don't match reality. Watch out for "Guaranteed results," exaggerated medical claims, or fake product endorsements.
Prices that are "too good to be true" (e.g., premium electronics at 90% off) on unverified platforms.
MRP Violations
Sellers charging more than the Maximum Retail Price printed on the package. This is illegal in India.
Tip: Always check the MRP before paying. You are legally entitled to bargain below the MRP, but a seller can never charge above it.

Fake E-Commerce Sites
Sites designed to mimic famous brands (Phishing) to steal your UPI or credit card credentials.
Check the URL character-by-character. Look for misspellings like 'flipkart-offers.net' instead of 'flipkart.com'.
The UPI "Receive" Trap
Tricking users into entering their PIN to "receive" a refund, lottery prize, or cashback.
CRITICAL: You NEVER need to enter your UPI PIN to receive money. A PIN is only required to send or authorize a payment.
Impersonation Scams
Fake Customer Care Numbers
Scammers post fake helpline numbers on search engine results and social media to steal account access.
Standard Procedure: Only use contact numbers found on the official brand website (.com or .in). Never call a number found in a random search snippet or social media comment.
