Scammers often replicate official sites to steal money. Protect yourself with these verification steps:
- The Domain: Official websites always end with
.gov.inor.nic.in. Beware of .com, .org, or .net for government services. - Zero Payment for Help: Registering a grievance on NCH is 100% free. Never pay a "fast-track fee" to any third-party claiming to represent the government.
- Secure Connection: Always look for the padlock icon in the address bar (HTTPS).
